![]() I recently sat down to play Oxenfree, knowing very little about it besides the basic premise. If you’ve seen it once, you’ve seen it a hundred times-and if you’re a horror fan like me, you’ll happily see it a hundred more. It’s a horror movie tale as old as time: a group of teens gather with intent to party, and a masked killer/evil spirit/mutant/trickster demon wreaks havoc on their innocent souls. It is also the closest thing to a true ending, as it finally saves Alex from the endless loop.Īnd that is all you need to know about the endings in Oxenfree. As far as premises go, Night School Studio’s Oxenfree seems to have a relatively straightforward one. The “secret” ending for Oxenfree is the one where you break the loop in New Game +, since most players won’t find it having to play through the game at least two times. Later, use the radio again to listen to music and break the loop forever by hearing the message and freaking Alex out. When you enter the bunker at the end of the game and experience another time loop, use the radio and tell Alex’s past self to not come to the island. The second Alex can stop the loop from happening in New Game+ ( Continue Timeline) since she can use the radios to tell past Alex to stop from coming to the island. This means that the Alex that got the perfect ending got out of the loop. However, there are multiple versions of Alex that go into the loop.
